Scottish Tenpin Bowling Association

This year the European Junior Open has been replaced on the NAYBC’s calendar with a new tournament “The Angel of The North Junior Open” which will be held at AMF, Washington, Tyne and Wear. The tournament manager has extended an invitation to Scottish Junior Bowlers to continue their tradition of coming south in October.

Dates are shown on the online calendar, and entry forms may be downloaded from the Downloads/Entry Forms link in the site menu (please note that there are 3 separate forms.
Bowlers may also wish to note that £12 of the Team Entry Fee goes to the Junior Team England Fund.

I won’t try to list all of their names, (you’ll find them at the website below) but congratulations go to all those selected for the Scottish teams playing in the Junior Triple Crown at Tolworth from 27th – 29th August 2010.

Lanarkshire Tenpin Bowling Association have recently developed their own website, providing a wide range of information for local bowlers.
It is planned to produce a regular newsletter for their members in the very near future.

A link to their site can be found in a new section, dedicated to local associations, at the top of the ‘Links’ page on this site.

In this site’s ‘Results’ page are links to the results of their recent Area Championships.

Anyone wishing to keep up to date with this event can get the latest results and watch the live video streaming from the event website.

Details of Scottish team players’ individual squad times (the event website doesn’t provide the names of which players are on each squad time) may be found on the STBA Bowlers’ Forum.
